Get to Know Your Students

There's no better way to get to know students (or anyone for that matter) than to just ask them about themselves. Student Interest Questionnaires/Surveys are perfect for the first couple days of school. I used several different ones throughout the years. I've attached one example that can be tweaked for elementary, middle or high school students.

You will definitely want to know how your students learn; it will help inform your instruction. I've provided one elementary survey example, one middle school example, and one high school example.

All it takes to find one that you may want to use is going to Google and typing in "learning style survey". If you want to be specific, add "elementary," "middle school," or "high school".
